Applications for the Community Fund for Mental Health education is now open until February 15th, 3:00 pm PST.
What is it: The Fund was created to provide agriculture communities across Canada with access to mental health education and literacy at NO COST.
In Person Workshops include:
- Talk Ask Listen half day interactive workshop created by farmers for farmers.
- Mental Health First Aid 2-day, 12-hour course, developed by the Mental Health Commission of Canada and facilitated by a Certified Instructor.
- In The Know farm-focused 5-hour mental health awareness program developed by the University of Guelph to support others in the farm community.
- LivingWorks 4-hour SafeTALK workshop to learn how to reach out to someone thinking about suicide and help them keep safe by promptly connecting them to further support.
Virtual Workshops include:
- Peer-To-Peer Grief Support monthly group space guided by a dedicated, experienced mental health clinician.
- AgCulture mental health in agriculture literacy program developed for mental health and health professionals.
Calling on leaders, businesses, and associations from all rural agricultural communities across Canada to play a pivotal role in facilitating these sessions.
