Construction on the Township’s newest well, Well 6, which will join our existing wells in providing water for the South Local Area service including the Larkin and Eagle Rock water areas is nearing completion. Construction began in February 2026.
As construction is drawing to a close and the well is becoming closer to operational, there are a few key steps that must be completed to ensure that everything is working as intended. One of these steps includes flushing the well. This involves pumping water out of the well at high volumes to clear out accumulated sediment and verify the well pump performance. The Township is anticipating flushing approximately 24,000 gallons of water through the well over a one hour period sometime the week of July 6. This is a controlled release and necessary in order to bring the well online for our water system.
