Township crews continue to monitor creeks throughout the municipality to watch for signs of flooding or overtopping onto roadways. It was noted today that a small amount of water has overtopped at Stepney Road. The roadway continues to be passable but motorists are encouraged to use caution when driving in this area and all areas adjacent to creeks as most are running high at this time of the year.

Crews will continue to monitor throughout the area throughout the weekend.

As creeks are running high during freshette, should you require sandbags to protect your property, a sandbag station is set up at the Public Works Yard, 1511 Eagle Rock Road. Bags and sand are provided but you will need to bring a shovel to fill the bags.
