Environment Canada has advised that weather patterns are forecasted to change on Friday, October 21, 2022 in BC and the province will see a shift to more Fall like weather patterns including increased precipitation.

There is a high certainty for an overall provincial shift to cool and wet weather patterns beginning Friday which will be sustained going forward throughout the rest of the month. Ground conditions have been particularly dry throughout BC over the past few months. Because of this there is uncertainty regarding the response from drought weakened trees and parched ground surfaces to the upcoming rain and potential winds. Greater impacts than usual may occur due to the dry conditions. Residents should take steps to ensure your property is protected from this changing weather pattern.

For up-to-date weather information and conditions residents can find more information on the Environment Canada website.
