LOCAL WILDFIRE – HARRIS RESERVE

The Township of Spallumcheen has deactivated the Emergency Operation Centre (EOC) at 9:37 am on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 as the Wildfire located on Harris Reserve is no longer a threat to the Township of Spallumcheen residents at this time.

A great big thank you to our Armstrong Spallumcheen Fire Department crews, as well as BX Swan Lake Fire Department and Enderby Fire Department via our Mutual Aid Agreements for their efforts in ensuring the Ministry of Forests, Lands and Natural Resource Operations had the required resources to assist on scene.  The Ministry staff were integral to ensuring our community had the resources it needed to successfully suppress the fire.  Thank you to all their crews for their quick response times and for managing the wildfire.
