The Township of Spallumcheen has deactivated the Emergency Operation Centre (EOC) at 13:00 hrs on Friday, June 4, 2021 as the Wildfire located near Round Lake is no longer a threat to the Township of Spallumcheen residents at this time.

A great big thank you to BC Wildfire Service, Armstrong Spallumcheen Fire Department crews, as well as BX Swan Lake Fire Department and Okanagan Indian Band Fire Department for all their efforts on scene.  Thank you to all the crews for their quick response times and aggressive efforts in managing the wildfire.

The Township of Spallumcheen would also like to acknowledge Askews Foods in Armstrong for donating logistical supplies to our EOC and front line workers.  The Township is grateful for our amazing community support that we receive from local businesses, such as Askews, when these events arise.

On behalf of Mayor Fraser, Council, staff and residents of Spallumcheen – Thank you to everyone that assisted in keeping our community safe.
