The Township of Spallumcheen wishes to advise that there will be construction on McLennan Road commencing approximately June 1, 2022 and will continue until mid-August, 2022. The Township is working with BC Hydro and Telus in regard to pole and line relocates along this section of roadway. The schedule may be impacted by availability of their crews to complete the pole and line relocations. Should the schedule change outside of the dates identified above, we will communicate with you further to keep you updated and post information on our website.

• Summary of planned works:

o Road is being upgraded to meet Township of Spallumcheen standards (including widening and increasing of curve radius’ to even out curves).
o Road surface will be sealed with chip seal coating.
o Replacement of culverts.
o Moving of utility poles to accommodate road widening.

Please note: Dust control in the construction site is the responsibility of the contractor.

• Summary of Traffic Control:

o Anticipated hours of work are 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday.
o Road will be open to vehicle and pedestrian traffic at all times. Travel lanes may be reduced to one (1) lane as required.
o Existing utility poles will remain in place once the road is widened until final move is completed by the responsible utilities. Poles in the roadway will be delineated by concrete barriers and signage.
