 Next Public Hearing Date: February 24, 2025

A Public Hearing will be held in the Council Chambers of the Township of Spallumcheen at 4144 Spallumcheen Way, Spallumcheen, BC on February 24, 2025 at 5:30 p.m. to hear representations on the following matter:

Official Community Plan Amendment and Rezoning Application 23-005-OCP/RZ

The Public Hearing will consider new information relating to a Traffic Generation Technical Memo regarding:

a. Official Community Plan Amendment Bylaw 2119, 2023 which proposes to redesignate the future land use of the property legally described as:

PID: 031-527-426 – Lot B, Section 35, Township 7, Kamloops (Formerly Osoyoos) Division, Yale District, Plan EPP107916 and located at 4370 MacDonald Road

from: Agricultural (A)
to: Country Residential (CR)

b. Zoning Amendment Bylaw 2120, 2023 which proposes to amend the bylaw by rezoning the property legally described as:

PID: 031-527-426 – Lot B, Section 35, Township 7, Kamloops (Formerly Osoyoos) Division, Yale District, Plan EPP107916 and located at 4370 MacDonald Road

from: Agricultural (A.2)
to: Country Residential (C.R)


 
 

Staff will also present clarifying information, requested by Council at the December 16, 2024 Regular Meeting relating to options available to Council to limit the number of future lots on any piece of property within the Township.

If you believe that your interest in property is affected by the subject matter above, you shall be afforded an opportunity to be heard at the Public Hearing or to present written submissions respecting matters contained in the proposals. The Township of Spallumcheen will be receiving written and verbal submissions as follows:

Written submissions: via email to mail@spallumcheentwp.bc.ca, regular mail, or delivered in person to the Township office located at 4144 Spallumcheen Way, Spallumcheen, BC, V4Y 0N1. All written submissions should identify the subject as “24-026-TWP-OCP – Public Hearing Input” as the subject of the submission.

*Your name and address must be clearly stated for both verbal and written submissions*

If there is a large number of in-person attendees, Council may recess the Public Hearing to a different venue on a different date.
Copies of the DRAFT Bylaw may be inspected at the office of the Township of Spallumcheen from February 14, 2025 to February 24, 2025 between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding statutory holidays, or by viewing the Public Hearing Binder below.
