Wildfire BC has reported that no further growth was observed yesterday on the fire. The planned ignitions on August 30 and precipitation in the area has reduced the risk of further spread on most of the fire perimeter. BC Wildfire has indicated that this successful operation will allow containment to be achieved weeks ahead of the initial projects.

The expansive size of this fire continues to require a substantial workforce.
120 Canadian Armed Forces personnel

21 Structure protection personnel
6 helicopters
9 danger tree assessors/fellers
35 pieces of heavy equipment
