Based on the recommendations of BC Wildfire the Township of Spallumcheen lifted the evacuation alert that was previously in place within the municipality on September 1, 2021 at 15:15 hrs.

BC Wildfire is reporting that due to significant effort from the BC Wildfire service and provincial, First Nation, national and international partner agencies, the White Rock Lake wildfire is now considered as a status of “Being Held”.

The Emergency Operation Centre for the Township remains operational as a level 1 centre. Throughout the weekend operations will be in a remote capacity only and assessments of the ongoing need for a Township Emergency Operation Centre will occur in the coming days.

The best location to find updated information for Spallumcheen residents is the Township of Spallumcheen website and the BC Wildfire website.
