EVACUATION ORDER REMAINS IN EFFECT NEW EVACUATION ALERT AREA
[Spallumcheen, BC, 2024-08-06] — An Evacuation Order and Evacuation Alert area has been issued on 2024-08-06 at 7:30 pm by the Township of Spallumcheen at the Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) upon the advice of BC Wildfire Services.

Reception Centre:
If you are on EVACUATION ORDER you can register yourself for Emergency Support Services online here https://ess.gov.bc.ca/. Please note, the Township Reception Centre is located at the Armstrong Spallumcheen fairgrounds in the Hassan Arena at 3315 Pleasant Valley Road. You can proceed there to register in person. Reception centre is open August 7, 2024 from 8am to 4pm.
If you do not have family or friends to stay with and your home insurance does not cover your living expenses during evacuations you may be eligible for support from the Provincial Government.

What you should do if you are located in the Evacuation ORDER area.
For your own safety leave the area immediately. An evacuation order has been issued as there exists a potential threat to the immediate area.
Register for ESS either online or in person as noted above and check with your home or tenant insurance provider about coverage for basic living expenses during an evacuation.
