The Township of Spallumcheen in conjunction with Interior Health is rescinding the precautionary Boil Water advisory previously in effect for the Larkin Water Local Area Service effective January 16, 2025.
The Township of Spallumcheen would like to thank residents for their understanding as the Township staff worked to rectify the situation which brought about the Boil Water Advisory. On October 9, 2024, due to high levels of iron and manganese deposits found during the water quality testing program, along with the presence of coliforms, prompted Interior Health to require the advisory as a precautionary measure to ensure public safety. Water quality sampling has been completed and it was confirmed by Interior Health that it is now safe to remove that advisory.
