The Township of Spallumcheen wishes to advise residents connected to the Stardel Local Area Service that there will be a temporary disruption to water service to facilitate upgrades at the Armstrong Landfill on Powerhouse Road on Monday, December 1, 2025 between the hours of 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. During this period, water service to your residence will be temporarily turned off. To minimize the inconvenience, we recommend that you take the following precautions:

- Store an adequate supply of water for drinking, cooking, household needs and sanitation purposes.
 - Ensure that faucets are turned off to prevent any damage once water service is restored.
 - Plan ahead for any activities that may require water, such as bathing or laundry.

Following the water interruption, a Boil Water Advisory will be in effect.

During this time, you may notice reduced water pressure, air in the water, discoloration and/or increased turbidity (cloudiness). Please run a cold tap until the water has cleared. An outside tap is preferred.

While on a boil water advisory, residents and businesses should follow the Centre for Disease Control (CDC) recommendations. If possible, use alternate water sources such as bottled water during this time or bring tap water to a full rolling boil for 1 minute before use.
