Update - Applications Withdrawn Public Notice

Notice is hereby given that the Township of Spallumcheen Council, at its Regular Meeting to be held on Monday, April 13, 2026 at 5:30 pm in the Council Chambers of the Township office, 4144 Spallumcheen Way, Spallumcheen, BC, will consider approval of the following applications:
Temporary Use Permit (25-040-TUP) and Development Variance Permit (25-027-DVP) Applications
for the property located at: 1429 McLeod Road, Spallumcheen
Legal Description: PID 014-025-043 The Westerly 1/2 of the Southerly 160 Rods of DL 990 KDYD Except Plans 19324, 22786, 23442, 23721, 25291, 25292, 32425 & 33862 located at 1429 McLeod Road, Spallumcheen
Temporary Use Permit
The applicant has requested to use of a portion of the existing 1,402.6 m2 building on the above-described property for processing cannabis. The proposal requires a Temporary Use Permit as Zoning Bylaw No. 1700 limits the size of buildings used for cannabis production facilities within the Agricultural (A.2) zone to a gross floor area of 500 m2
Development Variance Permit
The applicant is also proposing to vary to the following sections of the Township of Spallumcheen Zoning Bylaw No. 1700, 2008:
- Section 1901, Table 1 by reducing the setback of a cannabis production facility to a Residential zone from 120 m to 109.66 m (east property line);
- Section 1901, Table 1 by reducing the setback of a cannabis production facility to other than a Residential zone from 60 m to 11.13 m (west property line); and
- Section 1901, Table 1 by reducing the setback of a cannabis production facility to other than a Residential zone from 60 m to 25.58 m (north property line).
Copies of the draft permits can be inspected at the Township of Spallumcheen office between the hours of 8:30 am and 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday, excluding statutory holidays. Copies of the draft permits can also be viewed within the agenda package of the Regular Council Meeting found on the Township’s website at: https://www.spallumcheentwp.bc.ca under the ‘Our Council’ section.
