Reports of Western yellowstriped armyworm moths and worms in the area have been received.

Additionally, the Ministry of Agriculture has set up traps for monitoring Western corn rootworm in the North Okanagan, Kelowna, and Creston. Beetles have been trapped in Enderby, Coldstream, Lavington, and Kelowna. Please see the western corn rootworm factsheet for more for information on the beetles.
Farmers and homeowners are asked to report any suspect Western yellowstriped armyworm caterpillars and damage in new regions to the B.C. Ministry of Agriculture offices or contacts below:
