[Spallumcheen, BC – August 10, 2026 17:00] — Evacuation Alerts previously in effect was rescinded as of 5:00 pm August 10. St Anne’s Road will remain open to local traffic only until 6pm this evening and then will revert to normal traffic. BC Hydro is aiming to have power restored to all properties along St Anne’s Road by 6pm this evening. Environment Canada has issued an orange warning for the North Okanagan.

Off-road vehicles prohibited on provincial Crown land in many fire centres

The Province has advised that Off-road vehicle use for recreational purposes has been temporarily banned in B.C. as a wildfire prevention and mitigation tactic during hot, dry weather. The temporary ban has been put in place in parts of B.C. as off-road vehicles can lead to unintentional ignitions that can spark wildfires.

Press Release 17 - Bradley Creek Wildfire update

Evacuation Order and Alert areas remain unchanged at this time. Residents are asked to remain vigilant and regularly check their properties for embers and fire debris. Environment Canada has issued an Orange Air Quality Warning for the North Okanagan, with the Air Quality Health Index currently at 10. Children, seniors, and other at-risk individuals should avoid outdoor physical activity, while everyone is encouraged to reduce or reschedule strenuous outdoor activities. Please continue to avoid entering evacuation order areas. BC Hydro crews are repairing wildfire-related damage, danger tree assessments are underway, and access for emergency and fire response equipment remains critical. BC Hydro is working to restore power to affected areas, and service to properties along St. Anne’s Road impacted by the Bradley Creek Wildfire may be restored later this afternoon or early evening. Further updates will be shared as they become available.

There is an incoming weather system which is predicting hot dry weather with the potential for increased winds and dry lightning. Please remain vigilant in checking your properties for embers and debris from the fire. Environment Canada has issued a yellow health warning for the North Okanagan. More information about current air quality status can be found at their website: https://weather.gc.ca/airquality. Environment Canada recommends that at-risk populations, children and elderly should avoid outdoor physical exertion. The general population should reduce or reschedule strenuous activities outdoors. The observed Air Quality Health Index is currently posted as 10+ for the North Okanagan. We are still asking people to refrain from entering the evacuation order area as crews continue to work addressing hazards: • BC Hydro crews are in the area dealing with extensive damage caused by the wildfire. • Danger tree assessments are taking place. • Access and egress for fire equipment is critical and still ongoing. Please ensure you are not impeding the ability for these crews to move freely. Non-residents are asked to stay out of the Evacuation Alert areas as residents return to their homes so they can get back safely.
