Greater Vernon Water has notified the Township of Spallumcheen of a planned power outage in the Stepping Stones area scheduled for October 9, 2026, beginning at 9:00 am, will result in a possible loss of water pressure for some customers. In conjunction with Interior Health, the Regional District of North Okanagan (RDNO) advises some customers supplied by Greater Vernon Water that they will be on a precautionary Boil Water Notice (BWN) as of 9:00 am, October 9, 2026 until sampling results confirm the drinking water is safe. The area affected includes Stepping Stones Cres and 360-380 Stepping Stones Rd.
