Are you interested in running in the 2022 Local Government Election?
On Saturday, October 15, 2022, Township residents and property owners will vote to elect 1 Mayor, 6 Councillor and 1 School Trustee (School District No.83)
Candidate Nomination packages will be available online or at the Township of Spallumcheen Municipal Hall in early August, 2022.
*Please note, those wishing to be nominated require a minimum of two resident electors to support your nomination.
In compliance with the Local Elections Campaign Financing Act, candidates are required to submit their financial disclosure documents to Elections BC for verification and publication. Campaign Financing Disclosure Statements can be viewed online at Elections BC, when available.
Candidate Eligibility
To be eligible to run for local government office in a general local election or a by-election, a person must have been a resident of B.C. at least six months before filing their nomination documents. They do not have to live or own property in the area where they are running for office.
