On Saturday, October 17, 2026, Township of Spallumcheen will be holding the 2026 Local General Election where residents and property owners will vote to elect 1 Mayor, and 6 Councillors. The Mayor and Councillors who are elected at the 2026 General Local Election will serve a four-year term from November 2026 - November 2030.

On Saturday, October 17, 2026 and on Advance Voting Days, Township residents will be provided the opportunity to vote to elect 1 Mayor, 6 Councillors and 1 School Trustee (for School District No.83). The mayor, elected councillors and school board trustee will serve a four-year term from November 2026 to November 2030. These officials shape how our city develops, where funds are allocated, and how tax dollars are spent.
Advance Voting Day #1 Wednesday, October 7, 2026 from 8am-8pm.
Advance Voting Day #2 Wednesday, October 14. 2026 from 8am-8pm.
General Voting Day Saturday, October 17, 2026 from 8am-8pm.
All voting opportunities take place at the Township of Spallumcheen Municipal Hall located at 4144 Spallumcheen Way, Spallumcheen, BC
A person wishing to vote by mail ballot shall apply by giving their name and address to the Chief Election Officer or to the person designated by the Chief Election Officer for such purposes, during the period commencing seven (7) days before the first day of advance voting and ending at 4:00 pm on the Thursday, two (2) days before general voting day. Nomination papers can be submitted to the Township's Chief Election Officer between 9 am on Tuesday, September 1 and 4 pm on Friday, September 11
Nominations can be viewed in person at the Township of Spallumcheen office from the time of submission to 30 days after the declaration of election results.
CANDIDATES
Go behind the scenes and support democracy by working in the election. Staff will be reaching out to applicants in the next two weeks.
wORKERS
Every four (4) years, the Township of Spallumcheen voters choose a mayor, six (6) councillors, and one (1) school trustee. These leaders make the decisions that shape daily life from municipal services to bylaws and investments of public dollars.
